Holiday Blues.

Don’t you just hate it when your holiday is over too soon?


I’m just back from a couple of days holiday with some girlfriends, and I’ve got the holiday blues really bad.  I always pretend I don’t as I can’t bare it when people moan that their holidays are over (preferring to think that really, it’s a privilege to get away at all).  I had a really lovely holiday, so many laughs with my gorgeous friends.  I’ve launched straight back into work, although I’m not sure that was the right thing to do.  I like to be busy, but I’ve given myself no time to rebalance.  Now the weekend has come and gone I’ve had some time to get back into my groove, and here are my top tips for avoiding the holiday blues

1. Spend time with friends.  Great times can be had at home too! I had a Friday night planned with my friend Lucy when I got home.  Dinner, a concert and drinks in our favourite pub.  And it was gooood.

2. Exercise.  Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands.  Never underestimate the power of exercise.  Take a class, go for a swim, go for a walk – anything! I went to my gym this morning, and it was a killer, but I feel all the better for it.  Then I enjoyed a lovely walk with my mum.  Absolute Sunday Bliss.

3. Get planning.  Plan your next adventure!  I just love organising, having something to look forward to makes me very happy.
